Intermediate Series – Class 2 of 3

This is an ‘intermediate’ level class developing and advancing some of the exercises and movements you learned in the Foundation class. You will already be familiar with Pilates and the key principles to take these classes.

You can start to challenge yourself and incorporate some higher level exercises, improving core strength and control. Classes are a mix of standing, kneeling and floor/mat work. Ideally you’d be around 12 weeks post-surgery before starting this level.

Each class is 30 minutes long, can be paused and watched back at any time.

Further information

  • Equipment needed – a small cushion or towel, mat, Pilates ball
  • The classes are safe, slow paced, extremely gentle, mostly they are on the floor on a mat so you’ll be lying on your back, side or on your hands and knees.
  • Designed to help you reconnect with your core muscles and rebuild your confidence.
  • In line with UK clinical nursing guidelines and based on physio led clinical Pilates.

You will need a phone, tablet, computer or some other device to watch the videos (the bigger the better – connecting to a TV screen is ideal so you can see the movements more clearly). It will also need a speaker so that you can hear the instructions clearly.

You are required to watch the ‘Principles and Preparation’ video before participating in any class or video. Click here to view.
